Meiling Chen
Meiling Chen is an experienced writer who has been working for DIGITIMES, a leading Taiwan media and consulting company focusing on the IT industry, since 2008.
As being a full-time writer at DIGITIMES until March 2010, Meiling Chen was responsible for translating news and reports from Chinese to English, and analyzing market trends mainly in the semiconductor segment. She also had experiences of interviewing with companies to write related news reports. DIGITIMES is a B2B firm and all of its customers are leading IT companies worldwide.
Meiling Chen is currently a part-time writer/translator at DIGITIMES for quarterly reports on the ICT (information and communications technology) and FPD (flat-panel display) industries, covering Taiwan's notebook, handset, optical disc drive, WLAN, digital camera, small-to-medium-size LCD panel, large-size LCD panel, LCD monitor and LCD TV markets.
Meiling China is also a casual jeweler. She received bachelor degree in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from University of Kansas in the US and master degree in Arts and Creative Industries Management from Queensland University of Technology in Australia. She likes to travel and her studio is currently based in Auckland, New Zealand.
